Established in 1962 by Mr. Hukum Chand Agrawal with an initial investment of just 150 rupees and 5 kgs of moong dal, the company was founded on the principles of dedication and a commitment to quality. The name “420” draws inspiration from the iconic Raj Kapoor film Shree 420. Mr. Hukum Chand Agrawal explained that the significance of the name lies not in the number itself but in the belief that hard work is the key to success. Over time, this name has come to symbolize irony in its truest form—TRUST, built on a foundation of unmatched quality and irresistible flavor.

While “420” traditionally carries a certain connotation, we have reimagined it in the culinary world, where it now stands for authenticity, perseverance, and a brand that customers can count on. What began with our signature Papad, evoking the comforting taste of Dadi Maa’s kitchen, has since expanded to include instant mixes and a variety of other products, meeting the ever-growing demand for snacks that can be enjoyed year-round.
